Hi, my name is Daniel Martínez, and I am a classical timpanist whose craft has brought me to the stage of some of the world's most prestigious orchestras and renowned venues. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing with institutions such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra—celebrated by BBC Music Magazine for its exceptional artistry—Teatro alla Scala Milano, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Orchestre de Paris, and the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, among others.

My formal training took place at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, one of Europe’s leading institutions in musical excellence. I was also honored to be part of the Academy of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, where I worked closely with some of the greatest musical minds of our time.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the distinct privilege of collaborating with world-renowned conductors whose artistry has shaped the landscape of classical music. Notable partnerships include Claudio Abbado, Zubin Mehta, Sir Simon Rattle, Daniele Gatti, Riccardo Chailly, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Harding, Manfred Honeck, Franz Welser-Möst, and Fabio Luisi—alliances that have been instrumental in refining my own artistry and deepening my contribution to the rich tradition of orchestral performance.
